Sawing High Climbers, LLC is a family-owned and operated, fully insured tree services firm based in northwest Connecticut (business reg #B-3194). We are members of the Tree Care Industry Association, and in 2025 after a rigorous process we proudly became a TCIA Accredited Company. We are also members of the New England chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture, and the Connecticut Tree Protective Association.

TCIA Accredited

TCIA is America’s oldest and most respected tree care trade association (1938). The TCIA Accreditation program is built on a foundation of ethics, quality, and consumer confidence. Accredited companies have undergone an extensive review and audit of professional and business practices aimed at safeguarding consumers. They meet stringent criteria for professionalism, employee training, state and federal safety regulations, business ethics, and customer satisfaction, as well as follow ANSI A300 tree care standards when providing services. Sawing High Climbers is TCIA Accredited as of 2025.

Community Oriented

We are proud to support our local community. We are members of the Kent Chamber of Commerce and work closely with the Kent Land Trust, which aims to protect Northwest Connecticut’s natural beauty and resources.

Environmentally Conscious

We are committed to using environmentally friendly products wherever possible in our work. We use STIHL BioPlus^TM bar and chain oil, which is highly biodegradable, degrading by 93.8% in just 21 days, as well as STIHL HP Ultra 2-Cycle Engine Oil, a fully synthetic engine oil that is also highly biodegradable, degrading by 80% in 21 days. We are an Arborjet service provider, which means that in appropriate circumstances we use Arborjet trunk injection for pesticide applications, avoiding off-target spray or runoff and limiting impact to the environment.

TREE CARE SERVICES

Our services include pruning, cabling and bracing, lightning protection installation, insect and disease diagnosis and treatment, fertilizing, and removals.

Pruning

The most common way to care for a tree is by pruning, using methods such as deadwooding, thinning, lifting, and reducing.

Insect and Disease Diagnosis and Treatment

Diagnosis and treatment of tree diseases and insect damage is known collectively by arborists as Plant Health Care.

Removals

There are many reasons why a tree may have to be taken down. If it is dead, dying, or damaged, it may cause a risk to people and/or property, and sometimes the safest option is to remove it altogether.
